Original Post September 28:
New Delhi: Sorry to burst your bubble, but the Fiat Avventura petrol is not coming in mid-level Dynamic variant and will be available only in base and range-topping – Active and Emotion – trim levels. Earlier, we reported (read here) that the petrol version of the new pseudo crossover will be offered only in base and mid level variants, made us to believe company holding the range-topping Emotion variant to launch it at a later stage with 1.4-litre T-Jet motor.
However, the image added above, picked from staff training material, telling a different story and taking us through a spin.
Apart from this incomprehensible strategy of Italian automaker, the new car has been laden with features quite commendably. Features that have been made standard across the range including 16-inch alloy wheels, functional roof rails, double folding rear seat, central door locking with foldable key, tilt hydraulic power steering, programmable speed limiter, front power windows and a set of impressive high terrain gauges (Compass and Inclinometer).
Additional key features on the Dynamic trim are Anti-lock braking system and EBD, Bluetooth aux-in and USB enabled audio system, rear power windows, height adjustable driver seat, fog lamps and electrically adjustable wing mirrors.
The top-of-the-line Emotion variant is fully-loaded to keep one at all comforts like rear AC vents and power socket, leather wrapped steering wheel with audio controls, automatic climate control, rear defogger and wiper besides having safety features like dual airbags with passenger airbag deactivation and 3-point ELR seatbelt.

The Avventura is powered by a 1.4-litre petrol engine and 1.3-litre MultiJet diesel mill. The natural-aspirated FIRE series engine develops 90bhp while the Variable Geaometry Turbocharger equipped diesel motor puts out 88.7bhp. Both engines are mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. Interestingly, with ground clearance of 205mm and stiffer suspension, the Avventura has an edge over its major rivals, the Toyota Etios Cross and Volkswagen CrossPolo, and can also handle tortuous Indian roads with ease. The Avventura offers a choice of 6 body colors including the new Zafferano Orange.
